Joint funding from federal and provincial governments, totaling more than $39 million, has been allocated for the construction of a regional mechanical wastewater treatment facility and collection network to service Niverville and the RMs of Ritchot, Hanover, and Tache.

More than $42 million in provincial funding was recently announced for four water projects, including a new water treatment plant in Beausejour. The projects will aim to improve system efficiency and protect local communities and their environments.

The Manitoba government is helping vulnerable citizens by providing $6.3 million to community agencies as part of the province’s first whole-of-government strategy to end homelessness.
