Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) reported net income from operations of $258.8 million for the first three quarters of its 2020/21 fiscal year. Net income after the rebated surplus distribution is $79.2 million compared to net income of $162.3 million for the same time period last year.

Over the past two months, a total of 81 passenger vehicle-related fires have been opened with Manitoba Public Insurance. Nearly three dozen of these fires in December and January were directly related to the use of block heaters.

For the second time this year, Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) will be providing immediate financial relief to its policyholders. Over the next couple of months, Manitoba Public Insurance will provide 25 highly visible speed display boards in 13 communities, including Steinbach, thanks to a pilot road safety partnership between the public auto insurer and various municipalities.
