Recycle Everywhere , the organization responsible for the collection of non-alcoholic, non-dairy beverage containers in the province, is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity Manitoba to give back during its annual Season of Giving promotion.
The City of Steinbach has announced that as of December 8, 2022, Bristal Hauling will take over residential recycling collection service provision, and subsequently, residents will also see a shift to an automated cart-based system.
Steinbach City Council recently awarded its next recycling collection contract to Bristal Hauling. The contract will come into effect December 2023 and expire at the end of 2025. The City also noted that automated collection of recycling totes will be coming.
Recycle Everywhere is pleased to announce that in 2021, 72 per cent of all eligible beverage containers in the CBCRA program and 80 per cent of all PET plastic beverage containers sold in the province were recovered.
