The Lottery that goes above and beyond is making its way eastward with the launch of Lucky STARS 50/50 in Manitoba. From now until December 31, 2024, Manitobans can get their STARS Lottery 50/50 tickets for the chance to win up to $300,000 and help save lives at the same time.

Four local community business leaders recently braved the elements to raise an astonishing $350,000 (and counting) in support of STARS’ operations in Manitoba.

Manitoba RCMP are reminding drone pilots of potential dangers while flying drones in the vicinity of first responders after dealing with a recent situation that delayed the landing of a STARS helicopter.

Viterra Canada Inc. (Viterra) announced that it is continuing it’s long-standing partnership with STARS to sponsor the 2024 edition of the non-profit’s fundraising calendar. This is the ninth consecutive year that Viterra has covered the full printing costs of the calendar, representing a cumulative value of more than $2 million in sponsorship to support of STARS fundraising efforts.

A generous $1.5 million donation from BHP Canada Inc. was recently announced by STARS. The gift continues BHP’s investment in the health and safety of communities across Western Canada by supporting STARS’ mission operations, as well as contributing to its new fleet of helicopters.

Viterra Inc. has announced that it is once again teaming up with STARS to sponsor its 2022 fundraising calendar. This initiative is STARS’ second largest fundraiser, with tens of thousands of calendars sold annually.

Together with patients, crew and supporters, STARS recently welcomed its first new Airbus H145 helicopter to Manitoba. The aircraft, which will fly missions from STARS’ Winnipeg base, is the latest helicopter to join STARS as part of a program to replace and renew the air ambulance provider’s fleet across Western Canada.

STARS has announced that it has received a generous $1 million gift from Tourmaline Oil Corp., Canada’s largest natural gas producer. The multi-year donation will support STARS’ operations across Western Canada, while also benefiting municipal neighbours.
