Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating a recent incident where a patio ramp was damaged at Sawney Bean’s restaurant located on Main Street in Steinbach.

Construction to establish a new renal unit that allows dialysis patients to receive care closer to home is now underway at Bethesda Regional Health Centre as part of the first phase of a significant capital project that will expand the site.

The City of Steinbach is advising local residents of a temporary equipment malfunction that occurred at the lift station located at 330 Loewen Boulevard. The malfunction occurred overnight on August 18 and the City’s Waterworks Department is currently looking into the issue.

The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce has announced that the 5th annual Steinbach Burger Days event will take place September 10-17. This year’s competition will feature 15 local restaurants who have signed up to create 15 signature burgers which will only be offered during the event.

A 31-year-old Steinbach man is facing numerous theft related charges after recently being arrested by Lac du Bonnet RCMP. The incident was in response to a report of a stolen off-road vehicle siting within the municipality.

Steinbach RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing female youth from the community, 16-year-old Morning Star Bear.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the theft of a 2015 GMC Sierra truck that was recently stolen from a location in the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie, Manitoba.

Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 23-year-old Blumenort man was recently arrested in connection to an impaired driving incident involving two pedestrians in Richer, Manitoba.

Steinbach conservation officers are reporting that a resident of Niverville has been charged and fined after being found guilty of violating the Wildlife Act. The investigation began in 2019.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating a number of theft incidents that occurred in Steinbach and Blumenort and are asking the public for any information that may help in the investigations.
