The City of Steinbach has announced that starting in February, 2022, Serving Seniors Inc. will assume the city’s Handi-Transit operations, part of a new recently signed service agreement.

A 19-year-old stranded fisherman from Steinbach, along with two others, were recently rescued by RCMP  after their truck had gotten stuck on Clearwater Lake.

Environment Canada is reporting that southeastern Manitoba, including Steinbach, Hanover, Niverville and Grunthal, will experience bitterly cold temperatures into the new year.

Steinbach RCMP are asking the public for any information that may help identify a number of suspects who are believed to be involved in a recent break-in at a Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne property.

Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 16-year-old male driver was recently arrested and charged after he intentionally struck four pedestrians in a parking lot located at the Steinbach Regional Secondary School (SRSS).

Steinbach RCMP, along with St. Pierre-Jolys and Oakbank members, are currently investigating numerous robberies that have recently occurred at various locations in southeast Manitoba.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the theft of a Dodge pickup. The truck was recently stolen off of a driveway located near Imperial Crescent in Steinbach.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the recent theft of a dump trailer. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between December 15 at 6:30pm and December 16 at 9am.

Two drivers were the lucky recipients of large fines, driver suspensions and more, after they were recently caught street racing along Main Street in Steinbach.

A 25-year-old Mitchell man was recently arrested and charged after the truck he was driving collided into a female pedestrian on Highway 12 in Steinbach.
