Government officials, along with Steinbach Mayor, Earl Funk, announced funding to build a multi-use Southeast Event Centre in downtown Steinbach as part of a renewal of the T.G. Smith Centre site.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the theft of fuel from the General Store in Ste. Genevieve, Manitoba. The theft occurred this past week and police are looking for information that could help in the investigation.

Steinbach RCMP are reporting that two young men have recently been charged for street racing on Main Street. As a result, they will be fined heavily with demerit points on their license.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the theft of some copper wire that was stolen from a location in the Rural Municipality of Tache this past weekend.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the recent theft of a Polaris ATV from a residence located in the Rural Municipality of Hanover.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the theft of a 2006 Mirrocraft boat that was recently stolen from a location near Richer, Manitoba on the Trans Canada Highway.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the theft of a John Deere tractor which had been stolen from a farmyard located on Road 33E in the Rural Municipality of Hanover. The theft occurred sometime between July 17 and 18, 2021.

Steinbach RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of Christopher Peter Hawkins. Christopher (who went by the name Peter) was last seen in May of 2020 at the Whiteshell Provincial Park.

Steinbach RCMP recently responded to multiple vandalism and mischief crimes that occurred at numerous locations and businesses located along Main Street in Steinbach.

Steinbach RCMP are asking the public for any information that may help in an investigation involving the recent theft of a pickup. The truck was stolen from a residence located in the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne.
