The Hanover School Division Board of Trustees has announced the naming of the new K-4 school in west Steinbach. Anticipated to open in September 2025, the two-storey building will provide space for 500 students and be named Parkhill School.

Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 78-year-old Winnipeg woman has recently died as the result of being struck by a train in La Broquerie, Manitoba.

The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce Board and staff have announced that the 56th Annual Pioneer Days Parade will take place on Friday, August 2, 2024, with a slight change in route to accommodate construction areas.

The City of Steinbach would like to inform residents, and those traveling in the area, that construction has started at the intersection of Loewen Boulevard and Highway 12. As a result, the median lanes in both directions are closed from Elmdale Street to Stonebridge Crossing until further notice.

Steinbach RCMP are asking the public for help in identifying a male suspect who was involved in a recent theft incident at the Liquor Mart, located on Highway 12 North in the community.

Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 51-year-old male from the Ste. Anne area has died after being shot by an officer in an assault incident occurring near La Broquerie, Manitoba.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the theft of a GMC pickup truck that occurred in the 37000 block of Road 48 North in the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne, Manitoba.

On May 20, 2024, at approximately 4:45pm, Steinbach RCMP responded to a report of a black bear in the area of Biscayne Drive and Alderwood Crescent in the community.
