The Manitoba government, along with Trails Manitoba, has announced an investment of more than $880,000 to support 33 recreational trails across the province.
A new provincial trails strategy from the Manitoba government as well as investments supporting 34 projects will strengthen the trail network across the province and nurture lasting bonds with nature for generations to come.
The province has announced that nearly $970,000 will be invested into recreational trail projects throughout Manitoba to help enhance affordable outdoor recreational opportunities for Manitobans.
The Manitoba government has provided $71,000 to create a new trail system in Assiniboine Park and enhance existing trails at FortWhyte Alive, which will help improve accessibility and the visitor experience at these popular outdoor attractions.
Nearly $900,000 has been granted for recreational trail projects throughout the province following a first round of applications for the 2020-21 Trails Manitoba Grant Program.
