All Manitoba super sites are open and offering walk-in and appointment-based vaccinations, with adjusted clinic hours. Eligible individuals can book their appointments at these sites online, or by calling (toll-free) 1-844-626-8222. A total of 1,879,534 doses of vaccine have been administered in Manitoba.

The 10 youth winners of the province’s Vax to Win lottery have been drawn and their decision to be immunized has resulted in each of them winning a $25,000 scholarship.

Eligibility was expanded this week to include anyone born on or before Dec. 31, 2009. The date of their second appointment must be at least 28 days after the first. A total of 1,865,774 doses of vaccine have been administered in Manitoba.

The first set of winners have been drawn in the province’s Vax to Win lottery, and their decision to be vaccinated and protect themselves and their community against COVID-19 has resulted in each of them winning $100,000.

Effective immediately, anyone born on or before Dec. 31, 2009, is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. The date of their second appointment must be at least 28 days after the first. A total of 1,860,920 doses of vaccine have been administered in Manitoba.

The youth immunization catch-up program is now taking appointments for immunizations such as HPV, hepatitis B, meningococcal disease and tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis. Young people who have missed these routine school-based immunizations due to the pandemic can make an appointment at many provincial vaccine sites online or by contacting the vaccine call centre at 1-844-MAN-VACC (1-844-626-8222).

The Manitoba government has introduced a new app that will allow people to request and access their Manitoba immunization card. The Manitoba Immunization Card app will allow people to access their digital card when not connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data services.

As the vaccine campaign evolves, the demand on super sites and clinics is changing. Focus will now progressively shift from volume to access and increased community outreach. Part of that shift will involve adjusting the days and hours of operation in super sites across the province, effective Aug. 1.

Newcomers to Manitoba, immigrants, disenfranchised or homeless individuals are reminded they can get immunized despite not having a Manitoba health card. A vaccination can be administered at a super site, at one of the numerous community-led clinics or at a mobile van, which are all currently operating.
