Falcon Lake RCMP are currently investing the death of a 23-year-old Winnipeg man who recently drowned at a location on Caddy Lake, located in southeastern Manitoba.

The Manitoba government has declared a second provincial state of emergency in response to a wildfire season that is now the worst on record in the last 30 years, with more than one million hectares (ha) of area burned in the province.

The Manitoba government is honouring the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s legacy and the volunteers who make the premier event possible by unveiling commemorative highway signage and announcing more than $1 million in upgrades to Birds Hill Provincial Park.
