Voters in the Village of St. Pierre could be called to the polls in the next months after the recent resignation of one of its council representatives.
The town council recently accepted the resignation of councilor Claude Gagnon, who has served on council Village of St. Pierre for the past couple of years. He tendered his resignation after moving out of the village at the beginning of January.
Gagnon has relocated to Ste. Anne, where he continues to work for the Town of Ste. Anne as their public works foreman.
The Village of St. Pierre will have to decide if a by-election will be called.
