On March 18, 2011, at 4:30am, Headingley RCMP and EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision about 1 mile north of Oakbluff on Highway 100.
A northbound SUV, driven by a 35-year-old male driver from Winnipeg, collided with a train at a controlled intersection (lights only no arm).
The male has been conveyed to hospital with undetermined injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
RCMP have now cleared the scene and Highway 100 at McGillivray Boulevard is now reopened to traffic.
An RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation.
RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
