RCMP have laid charges to 3 individuals involved in numerous break, enter and thefts in the Headingley and Stonewall areas.
On February 20, 2011, RCMP Headingley Rural with the assistance of the RCMP Stonewall Detachment and the RCMP “D” Division Auto Theft Unit began an investigation into numerous reports of break, enters and thefts, as well as thefts over and under $5,000 in the Headingley and Stonewall areas.
The thefts spanned between January 16 up to March 15, 2011 and included snowmobiles, dirt bikes and various tools stolen from garages, sheds, utility trailers and yards.
As a result of the investigation, charges have been laid against the following individuals:
20-year-old Tyler Joseph Flett of the RM of Cartier, has been charged with 18 offences including multiple charges for break, enter and commit theft, theft and firearms related charges.
20-year-old Bo Patrick Beckett of the RM of Rockwood, has been charged with 20 offences including multiple charges for break, enter and commit theft, theft and failing to comply with a probation order.
18-year-old Cody Gordon Normand of Stonewall has been charged with 9 offences including multiple charges for break, enter and commit theft and theft.
All 3 suspects are currently held in custody. Beckett and Normand will be appearing March 21 in Winnipeg. Flett has been remanded to April 8, also in Winnipeg.
So far two snowmobiles have been recovered from the Headingley area.
