Students in grades 5 and 6 at Arborgate School in La Broquerie are excited to participate in a new pilot project called Career Trek.
The goal of the project is to integrate career education in the school within various grade 5 and 6 subjects.
According to Seine River School Division, seven lesson plans have been written in the subjects of math, language arts, science and social studies. Each lesson will focus on a particular career and target certain outcomes in the curriculum.
The grade 5 and 6 teachers have begun to use the lessons in their classes and have seen some benefit for both students and staff.
