A Winnipeg man has died after his car rolled into the ditch on PTH 100 at Brady Road in the RM of MacDonald.
On March 28, 2011, just before 11pm, Selkirk RCMP Traffic Services along with the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service and the RM of MacDonald Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of a single vehicle rollover on PTH 100 at Brady Road in the RM of MacDonald.
Initial investigation indicates the vehicle, a 2005 Hyundai Accent, was westbound on PTH 100 when it left the roadway. The vehicle rolled over at least once before coming to rest on the driver’s side in the ditch.
The two occupants were removed from the vehicle by emergency personnel and transported by ambulance to hospital in Winnipeg.
The male driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old man residing in Winnipeg, succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The name of the deceased is being with held at this time pending notification of next of kin.
The condition of the passenger has not been updated at this time.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation.
Police continue to investigate.
