On April 9, 2011, at approximately 1:30pm, RCMP underwater recovery team located the body of a 61-year-old man that was reported missing.
RCMP were informed that the man had not returned home the previous day after an outing.
Investigation revealed that the man had attempted to cross a flooded portion of Allarie Road in the RM of De Salaberry when his vehicle left the roadway and became submerged.
The resident of the Niverville area was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There were no other persons or vehicles involved.
Police continue to investigate.
