On April 10, 2011, just after 6pm, Oakbank RCMP were dispatched to the scene of horse back riding accident.
Initial investigation indicates that a 20-year-old woman from the City of Winnipeg was riding at an equestrian centre in the RM of Springfield, when she was thrown from her horse.
RCMP report that the rider suffered serious injuries and was transported to Winnipeg hospital in critical condition by STARS air ambulance.
The name of the injured woman will not be released.
