The majority of resident’s in the Camperville, and Pine Creek Indian Reserve area were without power for several hours in the late evening of February 8, 2009.
The power outage was a result of three transformers being shot with, what police believe to be a high powered rifle. Manitoba Hydro worked throughout the night to restore power to the residences effected by the outage.
The damage to the transformers is estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Any information on this incident can be reported to the Winnipegosis RCMP or to Crime Stoppers.
