On April 21, 2011, just after 2:30pm, Oakbank RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle collision in the RM of Springfield.

Investigation has revealed that a truck was hauling a large piece of farm equipment when the farm equipment collided with the underside of an overpass. This occurred in the west bound lanes of the Trans Canada Highway (Fermor Avenue) going under the East Perimeter Highway.

There was no report of injuries and it is unknown at this time if the underpass suffered structural damage. There were no other persons or vehicles involved in this collision.

One westbound lane had remained open to traffic and motorists were advised that they should expect delays.

Police continue to investigate.
