On April 25, 2011, just before 1:30pm, Lundar RCMP as well as local Fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene of a fatal single vehicle motorcycle collision on Highway 6, about 10 km south of Lundar, Manitoba.
Initial investigation indicates that an adult male had been traveling northbound on a 1983 Honda Interstate motorcycle when the driver lost control and went into the ditch.
Emergency personnel attempted to resuscitate the driver without success and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
RCMP report that the driver, a 55-year-old man from Winnipeg, was the only person involved in the collision. There were no other vehicles involved.
An RCMP traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation. The name of the deceased will not be released.
Police continue to investigate.
