On April 25, 2011, at approximately 7pm, Selkirk RCMP received a report of an attempted armed robbery that occurred at the Hawg Town Car Wash located on Morris Avenue in the City of Selkirk.
RCMP report that a lone suspect entered the business and approached an employee behind a counter armed with a knife, demanding access to the cash register. A second employee then entered the business and contacted 911.
The suspect then fled the business on foot empty handed. The suspect is described as male, aboriginal in appearance and wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and a black bandanna with white designs. The bandanna was used to conceal the suspects face.
Police say that no injuries were sustained during the incident.
