On May 5, 2011, East St. Paul RCMP Detachment and Headingley Traffic Services were dispatched to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 101 at Henderson Highway.
Initial investigation and witness reports indicate that at about 3:30pm, a collision resulted from a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the North Perimeter Highway.
Initial reports indicate that there were three vehicles involved in the accident. Reports also indicate a total of three persons involved, one from each vehicle.
An adult female was treated by EMS at the scene and released. An adult male was transported to hospital by ambulance with undetermined injuries. An adult male was transported to hospital and was pronounced deceased.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst was on scene assisting with the investigation. Traffic was re-routed and motorists were advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
The investigation continues.
