RCMP Investigators have arrested eight males in connection to a homicide which occurred at the Milner Ridge Correctional Centre earlier this week.
All eight males have been charged with second degree murder and are scheduled to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court today.
The eight males charged are 22-year-old Emile Hugh Williams, 18-year-old Eriberto Alexander Soldat, 20-year-old Eric Edward Plante, 25-year-old Joey Richard Delaronde, 19-year-old Daniel Christopher Dumas, 19-year-old Nathan Florian Allard, 18-year-old Brent Edward Houle and a 17-year-old male.
An autopsy has been completed and the cause of death has been attributed to blunt force trauma.
All were inmates at Milner Ridge Correctional Centre at the time of the homicide and are reported to have gang affiliations.
Lac du Bonnet RCMP and RCMP Major Crimes Services continue to investigate.
