On June 4, 2011, shortly after 12pm, Gypsumville RCMP were dispatched to the scene of an armed robbery at a business on Fairford FN.

Investigation revealed that a lone male had entered the business brandishing a stick. He demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cigarettes and fled the scene.

There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

A 17-year-old male from Fairford FN was later located and arrested. He is facing charges of robbery With a weapon. The accused has been released from custody, and will be appearing in Provincial Court at a later date.
