On February 22, 2009 at 4:03 PM Selkirk RCMP were advised of an unconscious male and female at a residence in Selkirk, Manitoba.
Officers and E.M.T. arrived to find the female deceased and the male unconscious. The male was moved from the scene to the Selkirk General Hospital.
The investigation is being treated as a suspicious death and RCMP units from Winnipeg are assisting in the investigation.

Selkirk RCMP assisted by the Winnipeg Serious Crime Unit continue the investigation into the suspicious death of a 26-year-old Selkirk woman. Her 32-year-old husband, who was also in the residence at the time, has since been released from Selkirk General Hospital.
RCMP are awaiting the completion of the Autopsy to confirm the cause of death. The date and time of the autopsy remains to be confirmed. Foul play has not been ruled out.
