On Sunday afternoon, February, 22, 2009, officers from the Dauphin Municipal Detachment received a call from a lady reporting she had just been assaulted by her boyfriend.
The assault occurred in their 9th Avenue S.E. apartment. Shortly after receiving the report, the accused was located by investigators and placed under arrest.
Bruce Jeremy Monchka, 27 years of Dauphin, has been charged with assault and failing to comply with an undertaking. He is to appear in Dauphin Court on Monday.
The victim was not seriously injured.
