On June 30, 2011, at about 8pm, Selkirk RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal two vehicle collision in the RM of St. Clements, Manitoba.
Initial investigation indicates that a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta was eastbound on CIL Road when it was in collision with a 2001 Toyota 4 Runner SUV that was northbound on Highway 59.
The two occupants of the Toyota were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
The two occupants of the Volkswagen, an adult male and an adult female were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The deceased have been identified as a 32-year-old woman from Selkirk and a 41-year-old male from Winnipeg. Their names will not be released at this time.
Police continue to investigate.
