On July 8, 2011, members from Roblin, Russell, WayWayseecappo and Rossburn RCMP Detachments, assisted by the Dauphin RCMP police dog service, executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Seized during the search of a residence in the Town of Russell were approximately 800 grams of marijuana, 10 grams of cocaine, several ecstasy tablets, cash and various drug paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the seizure is $13,000.
50-year-old Robert Alexander Perry and 49-year-old Colleen Rose Perry are each charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking of a controlled substance. Both are residents of Russell. They were remanded into custody and will make their first appearance in Brandon Provincial Court on July 11, 2011.
The investigation is continuing at this time.
