On July 15, 2011, just before 7am, Carman area RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal two vehicle collision in the RM of Dufferin, Manitoba.

Initial investigation indicates that a 1993 Ford Tempo was traveling north on road 32 west when it collided with a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck that was traveling east on PR 305. Road 32 west is controlled by a stop sign.

RCMP report that the Ford Tempo was completely consumed by fire. The driver and lone occupant was deceased at the scene. He has been tentatively identified as a 30-year-old man from the RM of Dufferin, Manitoba. The name of the deceased will not be released.

The driver and lone occupant of the pick-up truck, a 48-year-old man from The Notre Dame de Lourdes area, was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

There were no other vehicles or persons reported involved in the collision.

Police continue to investigate.
