On July 16, 2011, at about 11:30pm, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal off-road vehicle collision in the RM of Tache.
Initial investigation indicates that two dirt bikes had collided on Road 42 East.
One rider, a 17-year-old male from the RM of Springfield, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. His name will not be released. The other rider, a 17-year-old male from the RM of East St. Paul was transported to hospital in critical condition.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation.
Police continue to investigate.
