On July 20, 2011, just before 7:30pm, Selkirk RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in Selkirk, Manitoba.

Investigators discovered crack cocaine and marijuana with a combined street value of approximately $5,300 as well as a quantity of cash.

Six people were located and arrested inside the residence. Included in the arrest was a 27-year-old woman from Selkirk, a 46-year-old woman from Scanterbury, a 33-year-old man from Selkirk, a 45-year-old man from Red Deer, Alberta, a 53-year-old man from Selkirk and a 50-year-old man from Selkirk.

All are facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking. The 50-year-old male is also facing charges of possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon and breach of probation.

All have been released from custody and will be appearing in Selkirk Provincial Court at a later date.

Police continue to investigate.
