In the early evening hours of July 22, 2011, Swan River RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant on a residence in Swan River, Manitoba.
Seized was just over 30 grams of marijuana, 480 prescription pills in various weights, along with just over $3,500 in Canadian currency.
RCMP are still tallying the street value of the drugs seized.
As a result, 53-year-old Margo Christine Hurdman of Swan River, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. Hurdman has been released on a recognizance to appear on August 17, 2011, in Swan River Provincial Court.
In addition, a 48-year-old man from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, will also be facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). He has been released on a recognizance to appear August 17, 2011 in Swan River Provincial Court. The charge has yet to be formally laid.
The investigation continues.
