On July 26, 2011 Selkirk RCMP received several reports of break and enters, as well as thefts, that occurred during the early morning hours of July 26, 2011 in the RM of St. Andrews and the Village of Dunnottar.
Break and Enters:
• Suspects forced entry into two cottages on Clairmont Avenue located in the Village of Dunnottar (Whytewold).
• Suspects forced entry into the Clandeboye Community Club located in the RM of St. Andrews.
Theft from Motor Vehicles:
• Suspects entered two vehicles on Hawthorne Avenue located in the Village of Dunnottar (Matlock).
• Suspects entered a vehicle on Ronald Avenue located in the Village of Dunnottar (Matlock).
• Suspects entered three vehicles in the RM pf St. Andrews located on Captain Kennedy Road, St. Andrews Road and Little Britain Road.
Theft of Bicycles:
• Suspects stole two bicycles from a cottage on Davidson Street located in the Village of Dunnottar (Ponemah). The bicycles are described as a GT Mountain Bike, red and white in color and a Trek Mountain Bike, black in color. Both bikes are valued at approximately $600.00 each.
Theft of Motor Vehicles:
• Suspects stole a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, brown in color bearing Manitoba licence FPV 359 from a residence on Fort Garry Crescent located in the RM of St. Andrews.
• Suspects stole a 2007 Ford Escape, black in color bearing Manitoba licence ESV 507 from a residence on Daniel Avenue located in the Village of Dunnottar (Matlock).
• Suspects stole a vehicle from a residence on Captain Kennedy Road located in the RM of St. Andrews that was recovered at a Break and Enter scene on Clairmont Avenue in the Village of Dunnotar(Whytewold).
• Suspects stole a vehicle from a residence in Marquette, Mb that was recovered at a Break and Enter scene on Clairmont Avenue in the Village of Dunnotar (Whytewold).
A variety of electronics including computers and camera’s, tools, camping equipment and other items were stolen during these crimes. Some items were recovered inside the stolen vehicles however many remain unrecovered.
Suspects are described as 3 to 5 males, early 20’s and wearing dark clothing.
Selkirk RCMP were assisted by the RCMP’s Forensic Identification Section and Police Dog Service.
