Central Plains RCMP are looking for information in connection with an armed robbery that took place last week in Portage la Prairie.
On August 5, 2011, just after 8pm, Central Plains RCMP received a report of an armed robbery on Saskatchewan Avenue near the Shopper’s Drug Mart in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
Investigation revealed that while walking to the library, a male youth was approached by 2 males, one of which was brandishing a weapon. The suspects told him to give them his money. The suspects fled the scene on bikes after stealing an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
The suspects have been described as male, approximately 18-years-old and native in appearance. One male was described as being approximately 6 feet tall with husky build wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and flat brimmed “DC” hat. He had dark hair and dark eyes and wore a gold necklace. He was riding a black BMX bike with a red symbol and silver handle bars. The second suspect was described as beingĀ tall, with a skinny build wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans and was riding a red mountain bike with black handles.
