On August 13, 2011, at about 5:30pm, investigators from the Selkirk RCMP executed a CDSA (Controlled Drug and Substances Act) search warrant at a hotel room in Selkirk, Manitoba.
During the course of the investigation, police discovered a quantity of cocaine, marijuana and prescription medication.
23-year-old Donald Douglas McEwen from the RM of St Andrews and 23-year-old Joseph Paul Bedard of Selkirk, have both been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Both men were remanded in custody and were scheduled to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court.
