RCMP have made an arrest earlier this week in connection with an ongoing drug related investigation.
On August 16, 2011, as part of an ongoing and lengthy investigation, RCMP investigators arrested 47-year-old John Bisset Whiteway of Gods Lake Narrows, Manitoba. Whiteway was arrested at the Gods Lake Narrows Airport where police seized cocaine and marijuana with an estimated street value of approximately $8,500.
RCMP report that Whiteway has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Thompson Provincial Court.
