RCMP have seized approximately 680 marijuana plants after executing a CDSA search warrant near Hodgson, Manitoba.
On August 24, 2011, investigators from the Fisher Branch RCMP detachment and the RCMP Winnipeg Drug Section executed a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) search warrant at a rural property in the RM of Fisher near Hodgson, Manitoba.
Investigation at the location revealed a marijuana grow operation with approximately 680 marijuana plants, as well as about 20 pounds of processed marijuana. The street value of the seizure is approximately $720,000.
Three adult males were arrested in conjunction with this investigation. 40-year-old Robert Sean Price and Daniel Leo Labrash of British Columbia, as well as 29-year-old Shawn Byron Steinthorson from the RM of Siglunes, Manitoba.
All three have been charged with production of a controlled substance as well as possession for the purpose of trafficking. They are scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Police continue to investigate.
