A elderly man from the RM of Minitonas is dead after a tractor ran over him earlier this week in the RM of Mountain.
On August 24, 2011 at about 8pm, RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal farm accident in the RM of Mountain, Manitoba.
Investigation has revealed that a 70-year-old man, from the RM of Minitonas, had been attempting to start a tractor when it moved forward without warning, running him over and fatally injuring him.
The man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Police say that there were no other persons reported to be injured in the incident.
