A 29-year-old man has died after his vehicle rolled into a ditch near Brandon on the Grand Valley road.
On September 2, 2011, at about 2:45am, RCMP from Brandon and Carberry detachment’s as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover, 5 miles west of Brandon on the Grand Valley road.
Investigation has determined that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado with 5 occupants was travelling west when it lost control in an “S” curve and rolled into the ditch.
A 29-year-old male who was a passenger in the truck died at the scene. Three other adult occupants as well as a 16-year-old male were transported to Brandon General Hospital for further medical treatment. Their conditions remain stable.
RCMP investigators as well as an RCMP Forensic Traffic Analyst are investigating. Police say that speed and alcohol are considered to be contributing factors at this time.
