RCMP continue to investigate the homicide of Nancy Swenty of Fisher Branch, Manitoba.
Police are continuing the search for 51-year-old Russell McDiarmid in relation to this homicide. A Canada wide warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The last confirmed sighting of McDiarmid was on September 1, 2011 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. RCMP investigators have been following up on tips from across the western provinces.
Police continue to seek information from the public regarding the whereabouts of Russell McDiarmid. He is described as 5′ 11″ tall and about 169 lbs. He has brown eyes and is balding with brown hair. Russell McDiarmid may be traveling in a stolen 2006 Ford Ranger pick-up truck.
McDiarmid is considered dangerous and may be armed, if he is seen, do not approach him, contact police immediately.

On September 15, 2011 Russell McDiarmid was located and arrested without incident by Alberta RCMP near Canmore, Alberta.
