On September 15, 2011, at about 6am, Stonewall RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal single vehicle collision in the RM of Rockwood, Manitoba.
Investigation and witness reports indicate that a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer was southbound on Highway 7 at Road 83 north, when it went off the road into the ditch, rolling over at least once.
The lone occupant, a 24-year-old male from the RM of Rockwood was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
RCMP report that speed and seat belt use are considered to be factors in this fatal collision.
Police continue to investigate.
