On September 30, 2011, just after 6am, Central Plains RCMP, as well as Portage la Prairie EMS and MacGregor Fire Department, responded to a 3 vehicle collision on Highway 1, approximately 8 km west of Bagot, Manitoba.

Investigation revealed that a semi tractor trailer collided with a 2003 Ford Windstar which then collided with another semi tractor trailer, all of which were traveling east on the Trans Canada Highway.

A 29-year-old female passenger and 1-year-old child passenger of the Ford Windstar, both from Brandon, were transported to Hospital with what were reported to be undetermined, non life threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate.
