A 33-year-old man is dead after rolling his car into a ditch near the Asessippi Valley yesterday morning.
On October 2, 2011, at approximately 4:20am, Prairie Mountain RCMP were informed of a single vehicle collision on Highway 83 near the Asessippi Valley in the RM of Shellmouth-Boulton, Manitoba.
Investigation revealed that a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt traveling south had lost control and rolled into the ditch. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.
The 33-year-old male driver was pronounced dead a short time later at the Russell Hospital. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
The name of the deceased is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
Alcohol and speed are considered to be contributing factors.
The investigation continues.
