On October 31, 2011, at approximately 9:15am, Powerview RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive male at a residence on the Sagkeeng FN.
Upon arrival, police discovered the body of an adult male in a shed behind the residence. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause of death has yet to be determined. An autopsy is scheduled for today in Winnipeg. Police are treating the death as suspicious.
RCMP ‘D’ Division Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Units are assisting in the on-going investigation.
