RCMP have located two vehicles while searching the Red River after receiving a report that a vehicle entered the river on November 2, 2011.

The first vehicle located by the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team was an H2 Hummer that was reported to have been stolen in 2008. Police did not believe that this was the vehicle divers were searching for. A second vehicle was located in the Red River last night at about 5:30pm and has been identified as a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer that had been reported stolen out of Winnipeg.

RCMP report that there was no one in the vehicle. Police believe at this time that it was deliberately pushed into the river after being stolen.

The investigation continues.
