On November 8, 2011, just after 8 pm, RCMP members from Hamiota and Wasagaming Detachments responded to a barn fire in the RM of Blanshard near Newdale.
Upon arrival, area fire fighters and EMS were already on site battling the blaze.
The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner also attended the scene and continue their investigation into the cause. Police say that the fire is not considered suspicious.
Early estimates peg the loss at about 1 million dollars.
RCMP report that the barn contained various farm implements and no one was hurt in the blaze.
