On November 12, 2011, at 1:45pm, Selkirk RCMP Traffic Services and Headingley Rural Detachment responded to a collision between a pedestrian and a semi on Highway 100 between Wilkes and Roblin Boulevard.
The pedestrian, a 34-year-old Winnipeg man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Early investigation indicates that the pedestrian proceeded to cross the highway when he was struck by the semi, driven by a 34-year-old Winnipeg woman.
RCMP remained on scene during the closure of the northbound lanes of Highway 100 between Wilkes and Roblin Boulevard.
Police say that the name of the deceased will not be released.
The investigation continues.
