A Steinbach man, who was prohibited from driving, is facing numerous criminal charges after he was invlolved in a vehicle collision earlier this week near Steinbach.

On November 14, 2011, at 3:50pm, Steinbach RCMP and EMS were dispatched to a two vehicle collision on Highway 12, two miles south of Steinbach.

The investigation indicates that a northbound Ford F-150 struck a southbound Ford Ranger. The driver of the Ranger was transported to hospital for treatment and has since been released.

The driver of the F-150 was taken into custody at the scene. A 51-year-old Steinbach resident has since been charged under the Criminal Code with driving while prohibited, criminal negligence causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm. He has since been released on bail.

Police say that alcohol is not considered a factor in this collision.
