On Saturday, March 7th, 2009, shortly after 7:00 p.m., officers from the Dauphin Municipal Detachment were called to the Dauphin Marketplace as one of the businesses there had apprehended 2 shoplifters.
After taking custody of the 2 female youths, officers determined that one of the girls had provided false identification to them. It was determined that the girl had outstanding charges and was bound by conditions of an Undertaking. The 15 year old Dauphin girl has been charged with theft, personation and breach of undertaking and has been remanded in custody to appear in Dauphin Court later today. The second girl, a 14 year old from Dauphin, is not being charged.
